Mid-life crises do not always lead to inappropriate or risky behaviors. For some, it is a time to learn new things, break some bad habits, or broaden their horizons. It can be the impetus to lose weight, start exercising, or finally take those piano lessons you have been talking about doing for years on end. ~ Len Kay (Source: Surviving the Midlife Crisis | Age Smart)
Are you curious about a lifestyle reboot? Ready for a fresh start? Is is time to take a midlife leap?
Ever since I started this project I’ve been looking for the opportunity and the excitement in the midlife transition that many people experience in their early forties through mid or late fifties. Or even later. [pullquote]It’s time to take inventory of our health and happiness, our successes and failures, our strengths and our fears, our wonders and our forgotten dreams.[/pullquote]And it turns out that the so-called midlife crisis is actually a reminder to double down and reinvent ourselves. It’s a flat tire along the journey that forces us to pull over long enough to notice the magnificent view we might otherwise have missed, the beckoning horizon with it’s fiery reminder that our sunset is a sunrise on the other side of the ocean.
Embrace your midlife crisis as a timely reminder that it’s time to take inventory of our health and happiness, our successes and failures, our strengths and our fears, our wonders and our forgotten dreams. It’s time for a midlife leap. It’s a time for adventure!
